Back in April, I was fortunate enough to find a full-time position at my Alma Mater, Radford University. My office is comprised of four full-time ladies (including myself) and they all took me in as if I had been there forever. Melanie is one of those ladies. Her and I grew up basically in the same neighborhood…even though we didn’t know it. We both remember when the Wal-mart in Radford was a duck pond! And her and I can relate because Justin(her husband) and Nathan(my boyfriend) are so much alike sometimes…whew, seriously though! Every time I see little Colin, I can’t believe how big he is getting. He is almost walking now…what! I am so glad that we finally got to shoot their family pictures! And to end their shoot they changed into their 49ers jerseys and little man got to play football. |

For Christmas Travis got Sarah a family session for her and her boys(the kids and him). Since the weather looked decent we decided to shoot the last weekend of 2013. I claim them all as my family too, I absolutely loved getting to spend some time taking their pictures. Our nephews are growing up so fast! Colten turned 4 in November and Zachary turns 1 in just a few days. I still remember the night Colten was born, his uncle Nathan and I slept on the floor, yes the floor, of the hospital with some of our family of NC. We were just so excited! But without further ado, here's their rustic family session! A big thank you to Sinkland Farms for letting us come out to take this sweet family's portraits.
When Amanda asked if I could shoot their maternity pictures, I was so excited! I haven't been able to shoot that many and lets be real, who doesn't love the idea of a new baby!? It was a perfect, yes, perfect day for a session. Plus, I had a gorgeous little family to spend the afternoon with. Amanda and Dusty are expecting their new addition in late December and I pretty sure that 4 year old Trenton is ready to meet her. He is going to be a great big brother.
I absolutely had a blast with this little family. It was somewhat misty out but let me tell you this session was fun anyway. If you need somewhere to take a picnic or want to go swimming, fishing or camping...make sure you check out Clayor Lake State Park.
There are some familiar faces on the blog today. Alex, I took Alex senior portraits a while back and little Zachary's newborn pictures in February. Now Alex is leaving for the Army and the whole family wanted to get together to get some family portraits.
