| In 2011, I got my first chance to photograph Kara and Devin. They were visiting from North Carolina for Thanksgiving and we decided to go out to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was new to photography at that time and luckily they didn't mind me playing around with my camera. Since then I've had the pleasure of shooting them multiple times but on this day...it was even more special. This wedding was not only special to me because they chose me to celebrate with them but because Kara is Nathan's cousin. So this wedding was family. We got to visit with aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents on Nathan's side and got know more of Devin's family. I can't promise that I didn't get teary-eyed as Nathan's Uncle Mike walked his daughter down the aisle, or when the pastor said "Devin you may now kiss your bride", or even during their first dance. |  |
