We've all been waiting for this...the family I mean. Kara and Devin have been very present in my business over the last four years and a part of my life for the past eight years. Almost EIGHT years. Nathan's cousin Kara and Devin have been together since they were in high school. We've watched them grow from the "cheerleader and the quarterback" to high school graduates, college students, firefighters, vet tech and two people who are so in love.
Their engagement session (or should I say sessions?) highlighted some of the things they love most and even took a trip down memory lane. The weekend started off with portraits at the fire house where Devin got his start and where his dad is the captain. Then we headed to a park close by and we got to hang out with two pretty adorable Golden Retrievers...Molly and Shadow. I know that this set of pictures will be hard for Kara and Devin, because not long after these were taken they had to say goodbye to their "Shadow-boy". I hate that goodbyes were said, but I am grateful that Shadow was able to be apart of their engagement session.
Kara and Devin decided to come up from North Carolina and spend the weekend, so of course we had to do a few more portraits here in Virginia as well. Including a throwback to their high school days. Pom-poms, footballs, and jerseys included.
