I met Nicole in college, we had a couple classes together but didn't really talk and then four other girls, Nicole and myself decided to become a group for a project. And what a group it was! We all worked together so well. I didn't have a single other group my college career that could come close to that one. Now that we all are RU alumni and in different places in our lives, I was so happy when Nicole asked if I could do their portraits. Knowing Nicole, I offered to do a sunrise shoot because I know how much of an early bird she is and she took me up on it. Mark and Nicole drove in the day before and met me early the next morning. I knew a perfect place to do their country couples session, Selu Conservatory, which is owned and maintained by Radford University (it is also a great place for weddings, if you are looking). What better a place for someone who is an RU grad and as down-home country as Nicole. I loved that they both wore their cowboy boots and Browning shirts...because it was THEM. They weren't "glamming" it up, they were being themselves. |
